About me

My therapeutic approach:
In my therapeutic approach, I focus on helping clients reconnect with their sexual selves and their bodies. When addressing sexual difficulties, I often guide my clients to explore the question, “What does my body need that it’s not getting?”. My style is rooted in sex and body positivity, and I use an integrative biopsychosocial approach to psychosexual therapy, considering the psychological, biological, social, and relational influences on our sexual function.
I’m a kink-affirmative psychosexual and relationship therapist, and I work with a variety of relationship styles. I believe that sex and intimacy, when nurtured and attended to, can provide us with a unique space for self-expression, play, empowerment, creativity, and connection.
My background:
I have a background in Psychology and Counselling with my undergraduate degree from the University of Derby. I trained as a Psychosexual and Relationship Therapist at the University of Lancashire with the completion of my postgraduate diploma in Psychosexual Therapy.
I have had the opportunity to support people both in the charitable and NHS sectors, ultimately deciding to move into private practice to offer a more flexible and client-centred approach. Creativity is an important part of how I work, and it felt important to me that sessions are shaped by each person’s needs rather than prescriptive, which were some of the limitations I was encountering in other sectors.
Before training as a therapist, I worked in services supporting people with alcohol and drug addiction, as well as individuals experiencing mental health difficulties and disabilities. These roles continue to inform my compassionate and trauma-informed approach.
Standards of practice:
I’m registered with the Colleague of Sex and Relationship Therapists (COSRT), ensuring I meet high standards of practice and codes of conduct. I’m deeply passionate about the work I do, and feel honoured to support people willing to touch the vulnerable parts of themselves in order to create the sexual life they wish for.
